Before submitting

  • To submit the claim, you must be the insured individual’s nominee or closest next-of-kin.

Submitting the claim

Step 1: Prepare required documents

  1. Certified true copy of death certificate
  2. NRIC or relevant identification documents (e.g. passports, birth certificates)
  3. Proof of claimant's relationship with deceased individual

    Spouse Marriage certificate
    Parent Birth certificate of deceased
    Child Birth certificate of claimant
    Sibling Birth certificates of deceased and claimant
  4. Last will of the deceased, if any
  5. Newspaper clipping and police report (for deaths due to accidental or violent causes)
  1. Certified true copy of death certificate
    • The original death certificate must be certified by your lawyer or any notary public.
  2. Letter from Immigration and Checkpoint Authority (ICA)
    • This letter is issued by ICA for Singaporeans or Permanent Residents who died overseas. It confirms receipt of the Singapore IC, passport and overseas death certificate.
  3. Repatriation report (if body was repatriated to Singapore for cremation/burial)
  4. NRIC or relevant identification documents (e.g. passports, birth certificates)
  5. Proof of claimant's relationship with deceased individual

  6. Last will of the deceased, if any

    All documents submitted must be in English. Any documents in foreign languages must be officially translated to English by a certified translator/interpreter.

Step 3: Submit the completed claim form and required documents

After claim submission

We settle most claims within 14 working days after we receive all documents required.

For claims which require further clarification, we will need more time to process your claim. For such cases, we will keep you informed.
