Synopsis
 
Depression is the leading cause of disability worldwide. In Singapore, depression is the single most common mental disorder affecting 6% of the adult population.  
 
Anxiety Disorders are the most common mental health issues. These conditions can incapacitate a person and disrupt daily activities.  Similar to depression, anxiety disorders may affect family and friends of those suffering from these issues.  What are the different types of anxiety disorders? What symptoms should one look out for? How can one recover from an anxiety disorder?
 
Jeanie Chu, a psychologist, will explain the signs and symptoms to look out for and people who are at risk of these mental disorders.
 
Dr Thomas Lee, a psychiatrist, will provide advice on the treatments available for depression and the importance of health screening.
