17 December 2018 SINGAPORE, 17 December 2018 – NTUC Income (Income) announced today the appointment of Mr Ronald Ong Whatt Soon as Chairman of the Board, to succeed Mr Stephen Lee Ching Yen, with effect from 1 January 2019.
 
Mr Ong has a distinguished career in banking that spans over 30 years. He is currently the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (South-east Asia) at Morgan Stanley and has been with the bank for 20 years in various roles, with substantial experience in mergers and acquisitions, as well as, capital markets.
 
Mr Ong most recently joined Income as a Board Member in August 2018. He also sits on the Board of NTUC Fairprice Co-operative Limited and Next 50 Limited. In addition to being a member of the Listings Advisory Committee of the Singapore Stock Exchange, Mr Ong also serves on the Advisory Board of the Lee Kong Chian School of Business at the Singapore Management University (SMU) and of the Sim Kee Boon Institute for Financial Economics, also at SMU. Previously, he was a council member of the Securities Industry Council and committee member of the 1st Capital Markets Committee of the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
