What it covers

Vehicle repairs

We reimburse expenses for repairs done at more than 30 quality workshops chosen by Income. You can also upgrade your plan and have repairs done at the workshop of your choice.

Losses and damages

We cover vehicle loss and damages due to accidental causes, fire, floods, natural disasters or theft.

Third-party damages

We provide coverage against your legal liability arising from any accident for death or bodily injury to any person and damage to third-party property.

Personal accident benefit

We provide personal accident benefits and coverage for medical expenses incurred due to a car accident.

Towing service and windscreen cover [1]

We provide coverage for towing services up to $500 and unlimited windscreen cover.

You will receive a 5% loyalty discount if you have been insuring your vehicle with us for more than three years.

We provide 24-hour referral services for road and medical assistance if you are travelling in West Malaysia [2].

If someone is injured, please call the Malaysian police number at 999 immediately. You must also not shift your vehicle. You should remember to take note on the following (if the traffic condition permits): 

  • Take photos of the accident scene including for all vehicles involved in the accident.
  • Exchange particulars with all drivers involved in the accident.
  • Take down the particulars of all injured persons, if possible, take note of the extent of injuries.
  • If there is no injury, drive your vehicle to the side of the road after taking photos.


We provide useful claim advice, assistance in filing of the accident report, and assessing the damages to your vehicle at our conveniently located accident reporting centres.

We provide an optional benefit to protect your no-claim discount (NCD) if it is at least 30%. However, we will automatically grant you free NCD protection when you renew your policy with us if you have been enjoying NCD of 50% from us in the last two consecutive years.

Enhance your coverage

Premium Plan

You will be able to have your vehicle repairs done at the workshop of your choice if you upgrade to the Premium Plan.

Prestige Plan [4]

If you are a Porsche car owner (Panamera, Cayenne, Cayman, Boxter and 911), you can purchase this enhanced coverage plan specially tailored for you.

Coverage for Prestige Plan

Get additional coverage if you drive frequently to Malaysia

Your standard motor policy covers you while driving in Malaysia. If you need extra cover, we offer an optional Motor Insurance Extension rider which provides additional coverage for our private car insurance policyholders and/or the authorised driver and/or passengers who drive into Malaysia regularly. There is also an option to choose the duration of this coverage.

Coverage in Malaysia

Daily transport allowance

You can get an optional daily transport allowance cover which pays $50 a day, from the first day of repairs for up to seven days. This only applies to your first two claims.

Excess waiver cover [5]

You can get this optional cover to waive the basic excess of $600 when you claim under your motor policy.

Important Notes


  1. A windscreen excess of S$100 (or any other amount shown on the certificate of insurance) applies for each and every claim under the following plans: Drivo Premium and Drivo Classic plan. For Drivo Prestige plan, the windscreen excess is S$1,000 (or any other amount shown on the Schedule or certificate of insurance) applies for each and every claim.
  2. The 24-hour referral services for road and medical assistance are available within Peninsular Malaysia, which includes Penang and Langkawi but excludes the rest of the islands. This service is applicable for Income Private Car Policyholders only.
  3. This is only valid for payment made using your UOB, OCBC or DBS/POSB credit card. Other terms and conditions apply.
  4. This plan is available for named drivers who are above the age of 33 and have at least three years of driving experience without any accident claim.
  5. This cover is only applicable to Drivo Premium and Drivo Classic plan. You can purchase the cover to waive the basic excess of $600 when you claim under your motor policy. This excess waiver is not applicable to policies with excess of above $600.



There are certain conditions whereby the benefits under this plan will not be payable. You can refer to your policy contract for the precise terms, conditions and exclusions of the plan. The policy contract will be issued when your application is accepted.

This policy is protected under the Policy Owners’ Protection Scheme which is administered by the Singapore Deposit Insurance Corporation (SDIC). Coverage for your policy is automatic and no further action is required from you.
